  • Relieves aches & pains
  • Alleviates Stress

There is no limitation in age. It is more a question of the type of problem that is presented by the individual.

Some examples of injuries & common conditions that can be treated by Physical Therapy:

  • Muscle & tendon strains
  • Ligament sprains
  • Nerve impingement (e.g Sciatica, Lumbar Radiculopathy, etc..)
  • Acute/Chronic neck ache
  • Acute/Chronic headache
  • Acute/Chronic lower back pain
  • Shoulder dysfunction, (e.g “frozen shoulder”, Scapular Dyskinesia)
    Weak or painful knees

These include:

  • Acute fractures
  • Puncture wounds
  • Lacerations & abrasions
  • Thrombosis
  • CANCER

This depends on the severity of your problem, and whether you are seeing our Physical Therapist in order to treat a problem, or for preventive measures.

Physical Therapy also works extremely well as a component of athletic recovery, for those who are training on a regular basis. For example, an athlete may choose to see our Physical Therapist once or twice a week for exercise recovery and treatment of any early-stage strains. This then also gives our Physical Therapist an opportunity to assess and advise on any training methods which may be starting to cause a problem.

Both Physical Therapy and Chiropractic care aim to optimize overall well-being, by focusing on pain relief and improving functionality. However, there are differences in techniques and approaches.

A Physical Therapist utilizes a holistic approach with rehabilitative exercises, stretches, and hands-on techniques in order to restore overall function. Physical Therapy facilitates recovery from injuries and surgeries, as well as daily aches & pains. It can also help to prevent future issues.

Whereas Chiropractic care emphasizes spinal adjustments and manual manipulations to enhance joint mobility and overall function, with a particular focus on the spine and nervous system.

They complement each other closely.

Physical Therapy provides symptomatic relief for the injuries, aches and pains you are experiencing. As your symptoms subside, our Physical Therapist will then design and oversee an Exercise Rehabilitation program for you to restore functionality and overall well-being.

In essence, Physical Therapy helps to REDUCE tension, pain and dysfunction, while Exercise Rehabilitation helps to RESTORE strength, coordination and function.

Some people exercise too intensively, which often leads to injury. Others exercise too gently, which produces no progress. There are also those who stop exercising altogether, as they no longer find it fresh nor exciting.

Thus, an important benefit of Personalized Fitness Training is that it ensures steady progress while working within safe limits of intensity. And for someone who is looking for more challenges in their training routine, Personalized Fitness Training can provide new and refreshing experiences. People are often surprised by just how much there is to learn.

Our Personalized Fitness Training sessions include the 4 core elements of Strength, Flexibility, Endurance and Coordination, all tailored into a program which takes into consideration your history, current condition and goals.

Sound Healing is a non-invasive form of therapy utilizing various instruments such as singing bowls, to produce immersive sounds and vibrations which promote overall physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It can be very effective for:

    • Reducing stress & tension
    • Alleviating anxiety, depression and fatigue
    • Improving quality of sleep
    • Enhancing mental clarity and focus
    • Supporting the natural healing process

Sound Healing is generally safe, but there are certain conditions which require caution and prior medical clearance. These include, in particular:

    • Pregnancy (Especially those in their first trimester)
    • Epilepsy (Both sound-induced & non-sound-induced)
    • Cardiac, brain & other implants (Such as pacemakers, cochlear implants, joint replacements)
    • Serious mental health conditions (Such as schizophrenia)

Those with sound sensitivity, migraines or tinnitus should also communicate their needs to us prior to the session, so that adjustments can be made.

If there are further concerns, please discuss them with us beforehand to ensure that the session is safe and beneficial.

Yes, and in fact we would highly recommend it. Sound Healing can enhance the benefits of other wellness modalities due to its ability to promote deep relaxation, reduce stress and ease muscle tension. Sound Healing also highlights the connection between mind and body, which is helpful in making you more aware of your body and its responses to movement.
